Transportation to LEGOLAND New York Resort

We provide private transportation to LEGOLAND New York for families, birthday parties and school or camp groups: a chauffeur collects you at home, at your hotel or at the airport curb, brings everyone and the gear to LEGOLAND New York Resort in Goshen, and comes back when the day is done. For a family staying in Manhattan, the hard part is the distance: the resort is in Orange County, well north of the city, and the kids, car seats and stroller all have to make the trip. Our office and garage are on Route 17M in Monroe, a short drive east of the resort.

Car Seats, Space and Timing

Three details shape a LEGOLAND booking more than anything else.

We can provide car seats and boosters for a park day at an extra charge. Tell us each child’s age and weight when you book so the right seats are installed before pickup. If you prefer your own seats, let us know, and we will make sure there is room for them.

Space matters more than the passenger count suggests. A family of four with a stroller, a cooler and two suitcases is a different load from four adults with backpacks. One family fits comfortably in a Chevrolet Suburban (up to six passengers plus bags); two or three families traveling together are better off in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for up to 14.

Timing is where a chauffeur earns the fare. Check the resort’s own calendar for operating days and hours, then tell us when you want to arrive. We work the departure time backward from there, with a margin for traffic.

Two Ways to Set Up a LEGOLAND NY Car Service Day

The right option depends on how predictable your family is.

  1. Drop-off and scheduled return. We take you to the resort, and a vehicle comes back at a set time. This works well when you know you will stay until a certain hour. For the return, gather everyone at the meeting point agreed with dispatch a few minutes early, and phone our dispatch line straight away if you cannot see the vehicle, so the pickup is not logged as a no-show.
  2. Hourly, with the chauffeur on call. With hourly service, the vehicle stays reserved for the block you book. If a toddler melts down at noon, you can head back to your room for a nap and return later, and the stops are included. Any parking fees that come with extra time are added afterward.

Transportation to LEGOLAND New York From the Airports

The closest airport to the resort is Stewart, north of Goshen in the New Windsor area, so a pickup at Stewart makes the shortest ground leg. Families flying into Newark, LaGuardia or JFK face a longer drive, and a booked vehicle saves them the rental counter and unfamiliar highways with tired kids in the back.

Pickup works the same way at all four airports. We follow the flight, and once the plane is down a text tells you the name and phone number of your chauffeur. Phone when everyone has the suitcases, stroller and car seats in hand, and the vehicle pulls up curbside within 5 to 10 minutes. Waiting is free for 30 minutes on a domestic arrival and 60 minutes on an international one, so a slow baggage claim does not add to the bill.

Some families stay at the LEGOLAND Hotel on the resort grounds, while others pick lodging in nearby towns. Either way, we can carry you from the terminal to your room, and from there to the park on the days you need it.

Parties, Camps and School Groups Heading to the Park

A group heading to the park needs one vehicle and one schedule, not a convoy of parents’ cars. A class, a camp cabin or a birthday party of up to 14 fits in one Sprinter or Ford Transit, and two vehicles can travel together when the headcount is bigger. For a birthday, a Sprinter limo for up to 14 turns the drive into part of the celebration. We can coordinate group transportation with pickups from a school, a camp or several homes. Plan on at least 48 hours’ notice for these larger vehicles; a 25% deposit secures the date, with the remainder charged 30 days ahead of the outing, which suits school and camp budgets that are approved well in advance.

Making More of the Day in Orange County

The resort sits among towns we serve. The village of Goshen is next door, with restaurants and the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame. Chester borders the resort to the east, and Monroe is a short drive farther along Route 17. Parents can pair the park with a stop at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Central Valley; built into the booking, that stop is part of the quote. Families based elsewhere in Orange County can be picked up from their own town.

Questions From LEGOLAND Families

We’re staying in Manhattan. Can you take us to LEGOLAND and back the same day?

Yes. A same-day round trip from the city makes for a long day, and booking it hourly keeps the chauffeur on call. Tell us your hotel and the time you want to reach the park, and we will plan the departure.

Can you pick us up at the LEGOLAND Hotel?

Yes. We collect guests at the hotel on the resort grounds the same way we would at any hotel. Agree on the meeting point with dispatch when you book, and be ready at the scheduled time.

Which of the big New York airports is closest to the resort?

Newark. From the Goshen area, the run to Newark takes about 1 hour 15 minutes on a weekday morning, against roughly an hour and a half to LaGuardia and close to 2 hours to JFK. If you have a choice of flights, that difference matters with small children.
