Majestic Transportation Services & Limo Inc.
We bring visitors up to the Catskills, residents and second-home owners down to the airports and the city, and groups around the county once they arrive: resort weekends, concerts at Bethel, weddings and summer camp days. Our Sullivan County limo service works by reservation at a quoted rate, which counts for more here than in most places, since a ride on demand is hard to find once you leave the main highway. Nearly every booking uses Route 17, the Quickway, which links Monticello and Liberty with Orange County, the Thruway and I-84.
Heading south, the first airport you reach is Stewart International Airport in New Windsor: down Route 17 to the Middletown area, then I-84 the rest of the way. If your airline has the flight you need there, it keeps the journey short.
Plenty of flights leave only from the big New York area airports, and the distances are real. From Monticello on a weekday morning, plan on about 99.5 miles and roughly 1 hour 42 minutes to Newark, about 95 miles and roughly 1 hour 57 minutes to LaGuardia, and about 111 miles and roughly 2 hours 23 minutes to JFK. Summer Friday traffic heading into the mountains, or a Sunday evening rush back toward the city, can add a lot to those times, so we set pickups with the day of the week in mind. Winter adds another variable: snow on the back roads can slow the first miles of a pre-dawn departure from a lake house or a hilltop rental, so when the forecast calls for it we suggest leaving earlier and ask for driveway notes.
On the way home, the curbside text, flight tracking and free waiting time follow the same routine as all our airport transfers. A long customs line after an overseas flight is covered by the hour of free waiting on international arrivals, which matters when the climb back up Route 17 still lies ahead.
Our garage is in Monroe, in Orange County, just off Route 17, the same highway that leads into the mountains. For bookings that start in the city or New Jersey, we plan the drive in one piece, with the vehicle sized for luggage, coolers or sports gear and any planned stop written into the reservation.
Weddings up here happen at barns, lodges and resorts, often with guests spread across several hotels, and guest transport is the part couples tend to plan last. As Gina R. put it in her Google review, “Rideshares in the Catskills are little to none”. Our wedding transportation moves the bridal party and runs guest shuttles from the hotels to the venue and back, so nobody’s evening depends on finding a ride at midnight.
Resort stays bring their own pattern. Near Monticello, guests heading to the casino and hotel at Resorts World Catskills can be dropped at the door and collected at a set time. Families booked into the Kartrite indoor waterpark resort usually travel with children, swim bags and a stroller, so a Chevrolet Suburban for up to six passengers with luggage is the natural fit.
West toward the Delaware River, the amphitheater at Bethel Woods stands where the original Woodstock festival took place, and the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts lists its concerts and museum on its own site. With our concert transportation, no one in your group has to drive dark country roads after the show.
Other bookings in the county include:
When a camp family, a wedding party or a concert group travels together, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter takes up to 14 people and their gear in one vehicle.
Yes. A car service in Sullivan County also means runs within the county, for example from a Liberty hotel to a wedding venue near Bethel, or from Monticello to dinner and back. For short local runs, ask about availability when you book, since our vehicles come up from Orange County.
Yes. We book it as two one-way transfers, one up and one back, so you are not paying for a vehicle that waits through your stay.
We agree on a meeting point with you when you book, and you call the chauffeur as you leave the venue. If the night is booked by the hour, the chauffeur stays nearby through the show; on a one-way return, give us a realistic end time so the pickup is set accordingly.
List the dates, the headcount, the luggage and any camp gear in our quote request form, and we will size the vehicle for the mountain drive. A sedan or SUV needs a day’s notice and a Sprinter or limo bus two days; for a concert night or a summer Saturday, earlier is better. For a single airport run from Monticello or Liberty, a call to (877) 811-8400 is quickest, and majestic@mtslimousine.com works for written details.
