Putnam County Transportation and Limo Service

Majestic Transportation Services & Limo Inc.

We provide private Putnam County transportation by reservation: chauffeured sedans, SUVs and Sprinter vans for airport departures, Metro-North connections, weddings and evenings in the city, each booked ahead at a quoted rate and driven door to door. If you were looking for the county’s public buses, the PART routes and the on-demand service are listed on the Putnam County transportation page; what we run is the chauffeured alternative for times and places a bus schedule does not cover.

Where you live decides the route, so the plan starts with your address. Almost every booking begins on one of a handful of roads: Route 9D and Route 9 along the river, the Taconic State Parkway through the middle, I-84 across the north, and I-684 running south from the Brewster area.

Three Parts of the County, Three Sets of Roads

On the west side, Philipstown sits between the river and the Hudson Highlands, with the villages of Cold Spring and Garrison on the Hudson Line. Beacon is a short run north on Route 9D, and Stewart Airport is across the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. A weekend booking here might be a guest coming up from Manhattan for a wedding or a stay in the village.

In the center, Carmel is the county seat, and the Town of Carmel also takes in Mahopac and the lake communities around it. Typical examples are a flight from HPN, a morning at the county offices and courts, or an evening out in Westchester or Manhattan. We also pick up in Putnam Valley to the west and Kent to the north.

On the east side, Brewster is close to where I-84 and I-684 meet, which makes it the easiest corner for reaching Westchester County Airport and for crossing into Danbury. Southeast and Patterson share those same roads, so a departure from either one follows the same plan.

Putnam County Transportation to HPN, Stewart, JFK and LaGuardia

The right airport depends on your side of the county and on the hour your flight leaves.

  • Westchester County Airport (HPN) is the nearest for the central and eastern towns, reached by I-684 or the Taconic.
  • Stewart International Airport (SWF) is across the Hudson by way of I-84 and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, which can suit Cold Spring and the northern hamlets.
  • JFK and LaGuardia are longer runs through Westchester and the Bronx, so leave a real margin for traffic, especially on weekday mornings and Friday afternoons.

Flying home, the pickup is at the arrivals curb by default, with the chauffeur’s name and number sent to you by automated text after touchdown. Flight tracking and the free waiting period are part of all our airport transfers, whichever terminal you use, and an inside meet with a name sign can be added for a fee.

When the Train Is Not Enough

Metro-North’s Hudson Line stops in Cold Spring and Garrison, and the Harlem Line serves Brewster and Southeast, so the train is a natural choice for a weekday commute. A car service in Putnam County makes more sense when the day does not end at Grand Central: a show that lets out late, a dinner downtown with friends, a family visit with luggage, or a game where nobody wants to drive home. Those evenings can be booked as round trips or by the hour, and our New York City service covers the drop-off and the wait.

Weddings, Tastings and Group Days

Event spaces here are spread out, and some sit at the end of long private drives or on narrow country roads. Give us the venue address when you book and we will suggest a vehicle that fits both the group and the property. For a bridal party or a guest shuttle between a hotel and the venue, Putnam County limo service from us is planned around your wedding timeline, with the couple’s vehicle and the shuttle runs on one schedule.

Day outings work too. A group of friends might start in Carmel and spend the afternoon at vineyards with a chauffeur, in Dutchess or across the river. For more people than an SUV can hold, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter seats up to 14 passengers.

Bookings cross county lines easily. To the south, we serve the towns just over the line in Westchester, such as Somers, North Salem and Yorktown Heights. To the north, Dutchess County includes Beacon, Fishkill and Pawling, and just over the state line we reach Danbury and New Fairfield in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Questions About Pickups in Philipstown, Carmel and Brewster

Where does the vehicle come from for a pickup here?

Our office and garage are in Monroe, in Orange County, on the west bank. Vehicles reach Putnam over the Bear Mountain Bridge or the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, and we set your pickup time with that drive in mind. For an early departure from Brewster or Mahopac, booking well ahead gives us room to plan it.

Can you meet me at a Metro-North station?

Yes. We pick up and drop off at Cold Spring, Garrison, Brewster and Southeast stations. Tell us which Hudson Line or Harlem Line train you are on when you book, and if it is delayed, a call to dispatch lets the chauffeur know.

Can a tasting day start in Carmel and end across the river?

It can. If you book the day hourly, the stops are included, so you can plan a route that starts at home, crosses the Hudson for a winery or two and comes back the same evening without paying for each stop separately.

Reservations, Quotes and Phone Bookings

For airport transfers and point-to-point bookings, choose your date and vehicle in our online reservations; a sedan or SUV needs a day’s notice and a Sprinter two. For weddings, tastings or anything with several stops, lay out the plan on our quote request form, and we reply with vehicles and a price for limo service in Putnam County, NY, or wherever the day ends. Our phone line, (877) 811-8400, is answered at any hour.
