Planning a wedding at Brotherhood Winery means planning how your guests arrive and, just as important, how they get back to their hotels after an evening of wine. Our Brotherhood Winery private transportation handles that side of the day: the couple’s limo, shuttle loops between hotels and the winery, and chauffeured tasting days for smaller parties. The winery, which bills itself as America’s oldest, sits on Brotherhood Plaza Drive in the village of Washingtonville, Orange County, a short drive from our Monroe garage.
A winery reception has two transportation jobs. The first is the wedding party: getting the couple, parents and attendants from a home or hotel to photos, the ceremony and the reception on time. The second is everyone else, who should be able to enjoy the toasts without thinking about car keys.
The venue’s own wedding spaces set the rhythm of the evening. Receptions take place in the Grand Salon, an early 19th-century stone hall, and can spill onto the cobblestone patio in the warmer months, so a late-spring or early-fall date often runs well past sunset. For the couple, our wedding limo service covers the morning, the photo stops and a getaway vehicle at the end. For a larger bridal party, the white 14-passenger Sprinter limousine keeps attendants together between locations.
Guests at a Brotherhood Winery wedding often end up in more than one hotel. Say your hotel blocks are split between properties near Stewart Airport and along Route 17. We can run timed loops from each hotel before the ceremony, then schedule two or three return runs at the end of the night: an early one for families with children and older relatives, and a final one when the music stops. Those loops are arranged through our shuttle service, using a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Ford Transit seating as many as 14 per run.
A Sprinter or Transit is secured with a 25% deposit when you book, with the remainder due a month (30 days) ahead of the date. That makes the shuttle one of the items worth settling soon after the hotel blocks and headcount are known. The same plan works for a company holiday party or a client dinner at the winery: one loop for the main group, plus a sedan for anyone who has to leave early.
Outside wedding season, a winery booking is usually simpler: a couple or a small group coming for the guided cellar tours and tastings, with nobody wanting to be the designated driver. A round trip with a set pickup time suits a single visit; tell us how long you plan to stay, and call dispatch if you want the return moved. If the day includes lunch and a second stop, our hourly car service keeps the vehicle with you, with stops included. A sedan or SUV covers two to six people; a birthday or bachelorette group fits better in the Sprinter limousine mentioned above.
There are also other wineries near Brotherhood Winery worth pairing with it, in the Warwick valley to the south and around Marlboro and Gardiner in Ulster County to the north. A planned wine tour sets the order of stops so the day does not turn into a long run between tasting rooms.
Stewart Airport in New Windsor is the closest airport to the winery, so out-of-town guests should check it first. For flights that only serve the big airports, we collect guests at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark and bring them straight to their hotel, tracking the flight so a delay does not cost the pickup.
Visitors based in New York City can be collected at a Manhattan hotel in the morning and taken back the same evening. Closer by, we pick up across the village of Washingtonville, in Monroe and at hotels and homes throughout Orange County.
It is in Washingtonville, in the Town of Blooming Grove, Orange County, roughly between Route 17 and I-84. Stewart is the nearest airport; the New York City airports work too, but plan on a much longer drive and add buffer time on a Friday.
Yes. A day trip from Manhattan works best as an hourly booking, so the chauffeur stays upstate with you between the tour, lunch and any second winery, then drives you back in the evening.
Set two or three return departures in advance and print the times on the welcome card or the couple’s website. Guests choose the run that suits them, and the last one leaves when the reception ends.
Send us the date, the headcount, the hotels involved and the reception end time using the quote request form; our reply lays out the vehicles, loop times and return departures for the celebration, or the timing for a tasting day. To talk through the timing first, call (877) 811-8400.
