Before we wrap this up, let's take a moment to delve into the history of Independence Day, the backdrop to these fantastic musical celebrations. The Fourth of July, as it's commonly known, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776. On this historical day, the Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies were no longer subject to the monarch of Britain, King George III, and were now united, free, and independent states.
Nowadays, the Fourth of July is associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. But amidst the fireworks’ festivities and sparkle, it's essential to remember the spirit of freedom and unity that this day embodies.
